GM Voices Partners with SpeechStorm
International Alliance Combines Best of Voice Self Service
In a bit of terrific transatlantic news, GM Voices recently announced a partnership with SpeechStorm, a Europe-based provider of customer-centric self-service applications. SpeechStorm specializes in combining innovative SMS, speech recognition and video (IVVR) content using 3G network capability to traditional IVR to enhance customer experience. GM Voices will be providing the professionally-recorded voices on SpeechStorm’s demo applications and on end-user customer deployments. GM Voices’ extensive language capability benefits a truly global SpeechStorm customer base.
“SpeechStorm’s products and services are a great fit for our translations and recordings as they enter new language markets,” said Marcus Graham, CEO of GM Voices. “Both companies engage with many partners in the industry to best serve global companies worldwide.”
“Asterisk Song” by GM Voices
Rockin’ Ode to Open Source Takes World by Storm
This past October, GM Voices traveled to Arizona for AstriCon 2009. The experience inspired some unprecedented creativity; we gathered in our studios, penned some lyrics, picked up our guitars, stacked the amps and started jamming. The result is “Asterisk Song,” probably the greatest song ever about professional voices for open source telephony. Watch our music video below and see why people are so upset about the Grammy snub. Call your local DJ and spread the word!
GM Voices’ Virtual Gate Agent
Pro Voices Get Planes Filled and Flying Faster
Great airline service has traditionally meant a large staff of gate agents. In this economy, it’s difficult to maintain that kind of payroll while also providing a memorable customer experience (in a good way). With GM Voices’ Virtual Gate Agent, it’s possible to keep costs low while improving overall service. Our Virtual Gate Agents helps airlines load planes with a single live gate agent.
What is our Virtual Gate Agent? It’s a prerecorded voice persona that guides passengers in any language, all from an overhead paging system. If you’ve ever been inside the world’s busiest airport, you may have heard our Virtual Gate Agent in action.

Our theme for this year’s show is “NO ROBOT VOICES.” Your application needs a natural, human touch in the GMV tradition. Visit us and give us your best robot/bad IVR voice. You may win an HD Flip video camera!
“The VoiceCon crowd is one my favorites,” said Karen Neely, Director of Sales Operations. “Everyone has a solid tech background, but they also get the big picture. People are very receptive; they really understand our value proposition. I’m very excited about the show!”

Talent Showcase: Milena
Russian Voice Branding Key for International Growth
Russian is one of GM Voices’ rising international languages. As the need for Russian voice over work increases, one voice actor in particular has helped many companies make inroads in Eastern Europe. That talented voice actor is our very own Milena, who provides the Russian and Ukrainian voice prompts for some of the world’s largest technology corporations.
Milena is a multidimensional voice over artist. She has an acting degree from Kiev State Institute of Theatrical Arts, and is also a professional singer, songwriter and composer. She was born in Urkraine (then still the Soviet Union), and is a native Russian and Ukrainian speaker. In Russia, she works as a host for various TV and radio stations. In the U.S., she acts in independent film and theatre projects.
“I treasure every moment with GM Voices, because it’s such a fun and friendly environment,” said Milena. “I have a great relationship with everybody I work with, from the audio engineers to the agents who book the studio for my recording sessions. I’ve been with GM Voices for five years now, and I like to think of them as a second family.”
