GM Voices Partners with USAN

Pro Voice Recordings Complete Company’s Top IVR Systems

imageGM Voices recently announced a sales partnership with USAN, a comprehensive call center solution provider specializing in flexible, network-based IVR, outbound dialers and ACDs. After choosing GM Voices as its voice provider, USAN was instrumental in helping GM Voices deploy new voice personas for several flagship customers representing the self-storage and automotive financing industries. Our English- and Spanish-language voice personas will represent these brands on all inbound and outbound IVR and self-service applications heard throughout the country.

“We don’t step into the recording studio until we’ve studied the client’s brand and target market,” said Marcus Graham, CEO of GM Voices. “USAN clients already have well-established brands. We just ensure that their brands are heard clearly in every phone call.”

USAN understands that any effective communications technology needs a brand-consistent voice to match, and we’re happy to be of service to them and their end users.

“With GM Voices, USAN effectively transforms every aspect of the caller experience,” said Harry Miller, Senior Vice President of Marketing and Business Development at USAN. “Their brand-centric recordings are the perfect guides for our intuitive, user-friendly applications.”

The Faces Behind the Voices

GM Voices Hosts SOCAP/ATA Open House

Nothing is better than company during the holiday season. As a warmup to Thanksgiving, GM Voices hosted a joint SOCAP (Society of Consumer Affairs Professionals) and ATA (American Teleservices Association) open house on November 13, giving customer experience and telecom professionals the grand tour of our recording studios. After meeting, greeting and eating (turkey… well, turkey sandwiches), CEO Marcus Graham and President Darrell Hensley both spoke about the importance of Voice Branding in the customer service and technology spaces. Attendees also sat in for a directed session with a professional voice actor in our studios. “Experiencing a recording session firsthand always transforms the uninitiated into GM Voices converts,” said Darrell. “Visitors always understand our value proposition after leaving our studios. We had a lot of fun this year.” Click here for a full event gallery.

Going for the Gold at AstriCon

GM Voices Heads to Glendale as Gold Sponsor

imageIf you use an Asterisk-based phone system, we commend you, for you are truly a savvy, enlightened communicator. Of course, any revolutionary open source software needs an equally impressive sound. With that in mind, GM Voices headed to Arizona this fall to raise the bar for Voice over IP recordings. Decked out in our Beatles wear (we gave away The Beatles: Rock Band), we preached Voice Branding to some of the most lovable tech nerds we ever met. In the spirit of open source, we even gave away free Asterisk voice prompt vocabulary downloads in multiple languages! Stay tuned for GM Voices’ Asterisk music video, topping the charts very soon!

GMV for GPS: Don’t Let Customers Hit the Road without It

Better Voices for a Better Driving Experience

It’s not all about phones at GMV HQ. We’re as much about the open road as we are about the contact center. And lately, we’ve given a lot of thought to how we help get drivers from point A to point B, or even multitask from behind the wheel. Now, we handle lots of GPS and telematics (voice controllers in cars) accounts. But we’re looking to park more cars in the garage, so to speak. Be sure to visit our GPS webpage to learn more about GM Voices’ GPS process. Safer journeys, satisfied travelers!

Talent Showcase: Abril

Domestic Neutral Spanish Connects with Booming Market

imageAt GM Voices, we have many skilled voice actors who help companies establish unique Voice Brands. We finally realized that we should be spotlighting some of our best talent. Headlining our inaugural talent showcase is Abril, who has been a part of the GM Voices team since July 2005. Abril provides neutral Spanish (no regional accent) for many of our banking, insurance and healthcare clients. Her read style is noted for being warm, friendly, professional and empathetic. She also speaks Mexican Spanish.

Listen to an Abril Sample:

Abril is no stranger to branding. She has a degree in marketing and communications from Mexico City University, with two years of post-graduate marketing study. Abril visited our studios for our recent SOCAP/ATA open house, recording live for our telecom and customer service audience.

“There are two aspects that I like the most about being a voice talent at GM Voices,” says Abril. “The first is how proud I am to be able to use my native language to help companies that want their customers to feel at home by speaking their language when they reach out to them. It just gives me great satisfaction!”

“The other thing that I love is what happens behind the scenes with what I do for GM Voices. The companies see the final product but they don’t get to see and experience what I do. From the moment I walk in the GM Voices facility to the moment I leave, I find nothing but wonderful people with big smiles who are always willing to help me do my job.”

Why No Real Pictures?

Well, we could show you a picture of Abril…. but we’d have to kill you. Just kidding. The reason we don’t disclose pictures of our talent is because it prejudices the selection process. It’s essential that the voice stands alone on its own merits. Because that’s all that matters to your customers. Our objective process helps us develop world-class Voice Brands, and we wouldn’t have it any other way.
