GM Voices Declares War on Robots

“NO ROBOT VOICES” on Automated Systems; New Video Series Calls for Natural-Sounding Voice Actors for a Better Customer Experience

imageAlpharetta, GA – Inside a suburban Atlanta recording facility, GM Voices—the world’s largest producer of professionally-recorded voice prompts for telephony applications—prepares for war. The enemy: Robots. Specifically, the clumsy and unnatural-sounding customer service cyborgs that speak to customers when they call for service on automated applications. To rally more troops to battle, GM Voices unveils the first episode of its “Terminate Your Robot Voice” video series, now available on YouTube.

Armed with hundreds of professional voice actors, over 90 languages and dialects and the best business model for ongoing voice prompt updates, GM Voices quests to destroy bad IVR robot voices once and for all. It won’t be easy. There’s a lot of nonsense out there.

“In an effort to save money, companies turned their customers over to these purchase order killing machines,” said Marcus Graham, CEO of GM Voices. “It backfired. People hate these robo-reps because they sound so bad. We’re here to pull the plug and deploy a natural-sounding voice persona in any language you need.”

The “Terminate Your Robot Voice” video series documents the real-life happenings of a robot as it (she?) is terminated as automated customer service agent at a large company. Naturally, just like the calls she/it has handled for years, confusion and frustration follows.

“This same robot is employed at businesses everywhere. It has good intentions, of course, but it just isn’t the right way to speak to callers,” said Graham. “Take a cue from this HR director and fire your robot before your customers fire you.”

“Your customers deserve a human touch, not a robot. Join us. Let’s destroy them.”
